The Da Nang Statistical Office has said that the 2021 Census on Population and Contraception would take place across Da Nang from 1- 18 April.

The census aims to collect information on basic population characteristics including age, sex, marital status, household composition, family characteristics, and household size, as well as collect information on contraceptive use in Da Nang. Data collected from the census will help to define population and family planning indicators to measure the effects of family planning programme, as well as measure population remoteness and dispersion in Da Nang, thus helping municipal authorities to develop effective plans.  In addition, the results of the 2021 Census on Population and Contraception report in Da Nang will contribute to gathering information for a national database on Population and Contraception in Viet Nam, as well as ensuring international comparability of the results.

In particular, the 2021 census will also measure access to reproductive health services among young people, and measure access to health care among senior citizens in Da Nang.
