314 billion VND for rainwater drainage project in Da Nang
Da Nang government has already given the green light to the implementation of a project to develop rainwater drainage systems in the Thanh Khe and Lien Chieu districts at a total cost of 314 billion VND funded by the city budget.
In Thanh Khe District, focus will be on upgrading the Xuan Ha inter-ward rainwater drainage system stretching from Dien Bien Phu Street to Phu Loc River, dealing with inundation in front of Ha Huy Tap Street-located Huynh Ngoc Hue Junior High School, and upgrading the structure of the Tam Thuan inter-ward drainage system to ensure safety for people living along the both sides of the sewerage system.
In Lien Chieu District, work will start on the construction of a drainage canal and related structures connecting the Hoa Khanh Industrial Park with Cu De River. The new development will be designed with rainwater drains, water and electricity supply, and lighting systems, along with green-covered landscape and lake embankments in a bid to ensure a synchronously technical infrastructure for flooding prevention targets.
As per the instructions by Da Nang government, developed and managed by the city’s Management Board for the Priority Infrastructure Investment Projects, the rainwater drainage project will be carried out in the 2020 - 2022 period.
