The Da Nang Cancer Hospital and AstraZeneca Viet Nam Co., Ltd. on Friday entered into a bilateral cooperation agreement in enhancing treatment capacity and comprehensive quality of care for lung cancer patients.

Under the agreement, bilateral cooperation for the 2021 - 2023 period will focus on conducting the screening and early detection of lung cancer through human resource training and good professional practices, enhancing testing and diagnostic capacity, improving treatment quality by building a lung cancer management unit model, strengthening treatment capacity for satellite hospitals across Da Nang, and building basic criteria for lung cancer management.

In addition, heed will be paid to raising public awareness of lung cancer prevention and comprehensive care for patients suffering from this life-threatening disease.
