Da Nang sees scattered light showers, lower mercury till tomorrow
Under the impacts of cold spell, which has arrived in mountainous northern provinces, localities in Central Viet Nam, including Da Nang, are experiencing scattered light showers and thunderstorms in some of their parts, along with northwest breezes operating offshore and in inland areas as well.
A vast stretch from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien-Hue provinces is suffering in a cold weather with the mercury plummeting considerably to as low as 19– 21 degrees Celsius, even chiller at 17– 19 degrees Celsius in their mountainous areas.
Additionally, localities from Da Nang to Quang Ngai are bracing for a bit higher mercury which is hovering at the lowest as 21 -24 degrees Celsius, and even colder in their high-altitude spots.
From Monday into Tuesday, Da Nang is witnessing cloudy, some light scattered shower in some of its parts. The mercury is hovering at 22– 26 degrees Celsius, Viet Nam's National Center for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting (NCHF) said.
On Wednesday, Da Nang is highly likely to see its mercury rise a bit with the cloudy, rainless pattern, and some sunlight during the daytime.
The rain triggered by the cold front is much awaited, cooling Da Nang after a month-long dry pattern. The public across Da Nang is highly recommended by national forecaster to pay attention to staying healthy in light of the ongoing erratic weather change with rain squalls alternating with sunshine the weather which may affect their health.
