Da Nang to donate 2 billion VND to support Hai Duong's fight against COVID-19
Da Nang government will donate two billion VND to support Hai Duong Province’s efforts in its battle against the virus.
Da Nang was severely affected by the two waves of Covid-19 infections from July - September 2020, so Da Nang government and its residents understand how difficult the situation was. The municipal government hoped that the city’s donations will make a small contribution to support the province to go through its current difficulties.
Hai Duong Pronvince has become a COVID-19 epicenter in Viet Nam after recording the first local transmission case in the country on 28 January after nearly two months without local coronavirus transmissions. Till date, Hai Duong Pronvince has recorded 720 cases, with 43 having been given the all-clear.
Hai Duong began to impose social distancing measures on 16 February after a surge in domestically-transmitted cases. The province has gradually brought the outbreak under control with the number of new confirmed cases decreasing significantly. Hai Duong began to relax its social distancing measures on 3 March.
Starting from 18 March, the provincial authorities will allow passenger transport services to resume operations, and sports facilities and relic sites to reopen. However, some restrictions remain in place in Hai Duong until further notice following the provincipal authorities' guidelines for containment of COVID-19.
Festivals, religious activities and crowd gatherings will continue to be banned in the province.
Meanwhile, such non-essential services as entertainment venues, beauty and spa, karaoke parlours and pubs will remain closed.
Some areas under lockdown will continue to be isolated until further notice.
