USA-based foundation donates around one billion VND to victims of AO in Da Nang
The Da Nang Association of Agent Orange Victims (DAVA) has received close to one billion VND in financial aid from the USA-based Harris Freeman Foundation to support victims of Agent Orange (AO) in the city.

The donated money will be used to carry out the Detoxification and Rehabilitation Centre expansion project on Nguyen Van Hue Street, Thanh Khe Tay Ward, Thanh Khe District, Da Nang.
On 20 February 2014, the Detoxification and Rehabilitation Centre for Victims of AO officially opened in Da Nang.
Funded by the Harris Freeman Foundation, the centre was constructed on an area of nearly 300m2 at a cost of over 108,000 USD. The centre features 2 sauna rooms which can accommodate between 25 and 30 people, along with a medical laboratory and areas for medical examinations and accommodation for the patients.
The centre provides dioxin detoxification for 3 generations of the victims exposed to the wartime toxic chemical, and those who want to remove toxins and hazardous chemicals from their bodies.
Till date, it has treated over 600 AO victims in order to help release the toxins from their bodies, and restore their health.
