Young man rescued after his plunge off cliff on Hai Van Pass
A young motorcyclist in his early twenties from Son Tra District, Da Nang, has been safely rescued after his scooter accident caused him to plunge off a cliff on a winding road halfway down the majestic Hai Van Pass, local police said.

As reported, at around 3:00am on Sunday, the man was driving his scooter when it lost control and suddenly crashed into an anti-erosion talus on one side of the road.
A group of police officers and men from the Lien Chieu District along with a specialised vehicle from the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Division under Da Nang Police Department, arrived at the scene in a prompt fashion for rescue missions after receiving the SOS message from the witnesses.
Thanks to the great efforts by the rescuers, the victim were safely pulled from the cliff, and then rushed to hospital for treatment of his broken leg.
Zigzagging strenuous hillside treks with several hair-pin curves on the Hai Van Pass really offers a thrilling ride for motorcyclist who want to approach attractions there, but they also place them at a risk of crashes in case of their subjective recklessness.
