The licencing for this private medical facility will help the city increase Covid-19 testing capacity, as well as find it easier to implement large-scale tests.
The centre has been installed with good quality equipment for coronavirus testing, including a Realtime PCR machine, a biological safety cabinet level II Novapro Neo 1500, and an autoclave.
The centre's molecular biological testing system has been used for the testing of hepatitis B (HBV) and C (HCV) viruses, and the early detection of cervical cancer (HPV-DNA type identification), especially for SARS-CoV-2.
In particular, there is a negative pressure room with the suction and sterilisation system at a speed of 1,500m3 / hour, ensuring maximum safe and sterile ventilation for the room, and a Japanese-made microbiological liquid waste treatment system.
Staffers who are in charge of conducting COVID-19 tests meet the prescribed requirements, and all of them have joined the Nha Trang Pasteur Institute-offered courses on SARS-CoV-2 screening techniques.
For the time being, the Thien Nhan center has a daily capacity of testing 1,000 samples for COVID-19.
