Da Nang government has also urged the municipal Department of Construction to collect constructive feedback from relevant local agencies about Da Nang government-made management scenarios for fresh water supply to residents and businesses in the city in line with Viet Nam’s national government-issued  regulation on inter-reservoir operations in the Vu Gia - Thu Bon river basin.

Scenarios for management of saltwater intrusion have been made with a value attached to each. Included are the use of fresh water source from the An Trach Anti-Salinity Pumping Station for the Cau Do Water Supply Plant, asking the owners of hydropower reservoirs A Vuong, Song Bung 4, Song Bung 4A, Song Bung 5 , Song Bung 6 and Dak Mi 4 to discharge water in line with the regulations regarding inter-reservoir operating process on the Vu Gia - Thu Bon river basin. In addition, heed will be paid on accelerating projects on raising the capacity of the An Trach anti-Salinity Pumping Station, and installing raw water pipelines connecting to the Cau Do Water Supply Plant, and more.

At the same time, careful consideration should be given to the construction of anti-saline intrusion dams on the Cam Le River in order to avoid wasteful spending, to avoid causing any obstruction of the river, land loss and damage to structures adjacent.
