Japan-Viet Nam Cultural Exchange Festival in Da Nang attracts crowd of over 5,000 people
A crowd of more than 5,000 university students and high school pupils across Da Nang has attended the Japan-Viet Nam Cultural Exchange Festival 2021 and a job fair at the Dong A University.
The festival featured many interesting events highlighting distinctive Japanese and Vietnamese cultures. Included were a flash mob performance of more than 700 lecturers and students from the Dong A University, and dancers moved to go with the lyrics and sparked "Ghen Cô Vy'" (Jealous coronavirus), Vietnamese folk games and Vovinam Vietnamese martial arts. In addition, there were fantastic events highlighting distinctive Japanese culture such as the traditional arts of origami (folding paper to make models), cosplay costume-wearing shows, flowing bamboo noodles (Nagashi Somen), Yosakoi Japanese Traditional Dance, Mottainai Festival and more.
Apart from the Japan-Viet Nam Cultural Exchange Festival, a job fair offered online and face-to-face interviews with Japanese recruiters. As a result, 216 students from the Dong A University successfully passed the interviews and they would have the chance to work in Japan for one year. The event also saw representatives from the Dong A University and its Japanese partners such as Shidax, Azalee, Heisei corporations signing their strategic cooperation agreements.
