Blockade on residential setting no. 127 in Da Nang lifted
The authorities in Da Nang’s Lien Chieu District lifted blockade on the residential setting No. 127 in Hoa Minh Ward. This residential setting is the first and so far only place in Lien Chieu District to be placed under lockdown after five COVID-19 positive cases had been detected.

The district authorities imposed lockdown order on this residential setting from 8am on May 8 to 8am on May 29. Residents in lockdown were required to follow prevention measures, have their body temperature measured twice a day. In the end, tests on all family members under lockdown came back negative for the virus three times.
The district authorities had taken steps to ensure adequate supply of food and other essential items for the people and personnel staffing at checkpoints during the lockdown, helping them feel secure and safe to follow the city’s guidance for infection prevention and control.
The district authorities will continue monitoring compliance of people in this residential setting after the blockade was lifted. In addition, the focus will be paid on raising public awareness of protective measures to prevent the potential spread of the virus.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Cat, a resident in this venue said: “We are very happy and excited because the blockade has been already lifted. During our 21-day lockdown period, all of us always acted in compliance with the government’s COVID-19 rules. We will continue to strictly follow the 5K recommendations of the Ministry of Health in the coming time.”
