This came as an infected woman had visited the two markets for grocery shopping before she developed COVID-19 symptoms.

This positive case was confirmed in a 26-year-old woman who is living on Bau Nang 2 Street, Hoa Minh District, Lien Chieu district, and works as a switchboard operator at Truong Minh Services and Production Company based in the An Don Industrial Park located in An Hai Bac Ward, Son Tra District.

Medical workers asked all of them to stay at home, monitor their health, and limit their contact with other while waiting for their test results.

The Lien Chieu District authorities have quickly imposed a temporary closure order on the temporary market on Tran Dinh Tri Street after receiving a report from the Da Nang Steering Committee for COVID-19 Preventation and Control about this positive case linked to this place.

Lien Chieu District People’s Committee Vice Chairman Nguyen Nhuong said: “There are about 200 traders operating in this market. It was only open in the afternoon and it was usually packed with shoppers, including tourists. Hence, it is very necessary for the local authorities to place this maket in a shut down in order to curb the spread of the virus”.
