Da Nang detects 7 Chinese experts violating quarantine rules
Seven Chinese experts have been caught red-handed illegally staying at a hotel in Da Nang instead of being subjective to mandatory quarantine in the central province of Quang Ngai where they will work as required by the Vietnamese government. These Chinese violators were fined VND 7.5 million each.
On May 14, the seven Chinese nationals completed their 21-day medical quarantine periods at the Huu Nghi border gate in the northern province of Lang Son, and they should have been put into further quarantine in Son Tinh District, Quang Ngai Province, their workplaces, in line with the Vietnamese rules.
However, having arrived at the Da Nang International Airport, the Chinese experts did not come to Quang Ngai Province as scheduled, and then stayed at a hotel on Nguyen Van Linh, Hai Chau District, Da Nang. The hotel’s owner uncovered and promptly reported to the incident to local competent agencies.

On the evening of May 16, the Chinese violators were handed over to representatives of the Quang Ngai provincial authorities for handling.
After completing the handover, the hotel where the Chinese experts had stayed in the past days transfered all of their remaining guests to another hotel and temporarily suspended its reception services in order to carry out COVID-19 prevention tasks, including disinfectant sprays for the preventation of the virus.
