Da Nang stays tough on late-night beachgoers
The Management Board of the Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches is now focusing on increasing their patrols, fencing off all entrances to beaches with ropes and assigning its functional forces to staff on work shifts to prevent the public from visiting beaches amid the COVID-19 threat.
We have observed in recent days that there have been some local residents managing to go to beaches for swimming and relaxations in the early morning, from around 3:00am, or late at night when functional local forces were off work.
The management board has also mobilised the engagement by beach order and marine rescue forces to take their turns to monitor and detected violations.
Previously, the municipal government released a citywide temporary ban on non-essential services, including beach swimming activities on May 4 until further notice.
