Da Nang top leader urges people to remain on high alert
In his remarks at a meeting on Sunday afternoon with Da Nang Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, municipal Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang urged evey one across Da Nang and relevant agencies to remain on high alert against COVID-19 as risk of COVID19 resurgence is never far away.

Da Nang has reported no new locally transmitted COVID-19 case for many consecutive days, adding to signs that it has managed to stamp out the latest wave of the disease.
The city has seen an increasing number of COVID-19 recoveries and those who have already completed their mandatory quarantine period.
“Amid the complex developments of COVID-19 in Viet Nam, many affected localities have seen an increasing number of positive cases with their complicated travel schedules. It underlines the threat posed by COVID-19 for our city, and we must keep tightening the string of epidemic prevention and control. We all have to remain on high alert. Neglect can lead to a wide range of adverse consequences for the city.", emphasized Secretary Nguyen Van Quang.
The Da Nang top leader demanded district authorities to tighten monitoring of prevention measures at designated facilities for close contacts of confirmed cases.
“We currently have no evidence that cross-contamination occurs in quarantine facilities, but it is clear that risk is always present”, Mr Quang said
Mr Quang stressed the need for Da Nang businesses to put in place stringent measures to control the spread of the virus with a focus on ensuring strict compliance of health safety and health declaration requirements in the workplace.
Mr Le Trung Chinh, Chairman of the municipal People's Committee and head of the municipal's Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control asked district authorities and relevant agencies to work together to keep the public informed about the COVID-19 situation in a timely and accurate manner. The heed should be paid on enforcing regulations to impose strictest penalties for non-compliance with the city’s COVID-19 rules, as well as adopt drastic measures to prevent a new hot spot in the city.
