Social gatherings above five banned in Da Nang from May 14
Social gatherings of more than five people will be banned in Da Nang from Friday, May 14, - with some exemptions – as part of the city's ongoing efforts to prevent the further spread of COVID-19, the Da Nang government announced on Thursday evening.
The new regulations will ban larger groups meeting anywhere socially indoors or outdoors, the government said.
But it will not apply to schools, workplaces and hospitals.
In addition, the Da Nang government is encouraging people to stay at home as much as possible to protect health services and save lives.
In the new regulations in Da Nang, people can leave their homes to buy food, medicine, and to exercise.
They are allowed to travel, but only to and from work if they cannot do their jobs from home.
The municipal Steering Committee for COVID-19 Preventation and Control is also urging local relevant agencies to step up the monitoring of the implementation of the city’s COVID-19 restrictions in tradditional markets and the ban in seated food and drink service and non-essential services.
