Travel history of new suspected COVID-19 patient in Da Nang released

The Da Nang Department of Health has unveiled what it has known so far about the travel history of a suspected COVID-19 locally transmitted patient living in Da Nang detected on Thursday.

The 25-year-old woman suspected of catching COVID-19 is living at the 12T3 apartment building, Nai Hien Dong Ward, Son Tra District.

She is a staff member at the already sealed off New Phuong Dong Night Club, and lives with her older sister and another person in a flat at the 12T3 apartment building.

Every day, she works at the New Phuong Dong Bar from 7:00am to 3:00 pm the following day.

On May 2 evening, she came into close contact with the bar’s female manager who tested positive for COVID-19 in southern Vietnamese province of Dong Nai, becoming Viet Nam's 2999th COVID-19 case. 

On May 3, from 0:00 am to 2:00 am, she left the New Phuong Dong Bar and had meals with four other people at the Lak Kiu Restaurant, next to her workplace, and then went home.

From 7:00pm on May 3 to 0:00am on May 4, she stayed in the residence place where a friend of hers live and together prepared meals. Here, she directly contacted about ten others.

At May 4, from 0:00am to 11:00am, she stayed at home. From 11:00am to 12:00pm, she and his sister returned to their hometown in An Cu Dong 1 Village, Lang Co Town, Phu Loc District, Thua Thien- Hue Province by motorbike.

From 12:00pm on 4-5 to 9:00 am on May 5, she stayed with her family members in Thua  Thien –Hue Province.

On May 5, from 9:00am to 10:00 am, she came back to Da Nang by motorbike for work.

From 10:00am to 11:00am, she stayed in her apartment, and soon after, she was put under mandatory quarantine because of her close exposure to patient No. 2999.

On May 5 evening, she suffered from a little chest tightness.

The municipal Health Department will provide updates about places she has linked to after further investigation.

At the same time, it is suggested that those visiting the aforementioned locations where the suspected COVID-19 infected woman visited should immediately contact medical centres in their locales for assistance.

The spraying of chemical disinfectants has been carried out at the 12T3 apartment building as well as surrounding areas linked to this suspected COVID-19 woman.
