Additional nine patients in Da Nang given coronavirus all-clear

Three more coronavirus patients were discharged from the Da Nang Lung Hospital on Saturday morning.

The three persons are a 13 year-old boy from Lien Chieu district, a 31 year- old man from Cam Le district, and a 27 year-old woman from Thang Binh district, Quang Nam province.

The 31 year- old man from Cam Le district was hospitalised with coronavirus on May 10, and the rest were admitted to hospital on May 12.

On Saturday noon, four more patients were discharged from the Hoa Vang District Medical Centre.

They are a 24 year-old, a 25 year-old, and 31 year- old women and all of them live in Da Nang.

Earlier on Friday afternoon, two people with COVID-19 left the Hoa Vang District Medical Centre after treatment.

All patients’ clinical status is appropriate for discharge, and assessed to have stable and recovering respiratory function.

All of the nine people were given the all-clear following three negative tests for the virus, 24 hours apart, making a full recovery following their treatment. They are no longer contagious and pose no risk to the public.

After discharge, the recoveries will undergo a-14 day self- isolation at home under close monitoring of local authorities and health workers at their places of residence in line with the Ministry of Health’s regulations.

The total number of reported cases in Da Nang as of the morning of June 5 was 158.  

A total of 51 infected patients, including 5 imported cases, are being treated at the Lung Hospital, of whom, 15 tested negative for the virus once while tests on 21 others came back negative twice.

In addition, 41 patients with COVID-19 are under treatment at the Hoa Vang District Medical Centre.

Overall, 92 people are being treated for the coronavirus in Da Nang’s hospitals.
