Amida Beauty Salon director prosecuted for breaches of COVID-19 regulations
Da Nang police said on Monday morning that Nguyen Quang Trong, 29, the director of Amida Beauty Salon, who is living in Fhome Da Nang apartment complex, will face court on charges under the Occupational Safety and Health Act, and the Epidemic Diseases Act.
In addition, the local police has issued the leaving ban order for Trong.
The man has been found guilty of non-compliance with with safe distancing measures amid COVID-19 resurgence in Da Nang in early May.
He has been charged with violating the prohibition on social gatherings, and non-compliance with appropriate infection control measures recommended by the municipal government to protect staff from COVID-19.

Amida Beauty Salon has two locations, one in 222 Phan Chau Trinh Street, Hai Chau District, and another in 539 Dien Bien Phu Street, Thanh Khe District.
Between 8.30pm to 10.15pm on May 2, Amida Beauty Salon organised a training course for its staff members who failed to wear face coverings, and failed to keep a safe distance from others during their attendance at this event. Nguyen Quang Trong asked his staff members to remove their face masks and shout out the salon's goals.
This case highlights 'severe consequences' of deliberately breaching COVID-19 regulations issued by Viet Nam’s national government and health bodies faced by Amida Beauty Salon director.
Trong’s case is still under investigation.
