Da Nang organisations and individuals donate over VND22 billion to COVID-19 prevention and control
The Da Nang Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front (VFF) on Tuesday received VND22 billion in aid from the city-based businesses and residents to support the city to tackle COVID-19.

In detail, VND20 billion came from the Phuong Trang Group, VND1 billion from Nam Viet A Construction Investment And Infrastructure Development Joint Stock Company, VND500 million from the Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company (AHT), VND300 million from Sacombank, VND250 million from the municipal Department of Construction, VND150 million from VNPT Da Nang, VND200 million from VSK Group, VND100 million from the Linh Ung Pagoda, VND90 million from the Central Hydro Power Joint Stock Company (EVNCHP), VND 50 million from the Da Nang Branch of the Bank for Social Policies, VND 50 million from the Da Nang-based Water Resources Development and Consulting Company (WATEC) and VND 21.6 million VND from the Da Nang People's Procuracy, VND50 million from Mrs. Nguyen Thi Sang's family in Thanh Khe Dong Ward, Thanh Khe District, along with 960 bottles of medical antiseptic gel for dry washing from the Ha Noi-based Central Pharmaceutical Company No.1 - CPC1.
Chairman of the Da Nang Committee of VFF Ngo Xuan Thang highly appreciated the aforementioned businesses for their noble deeds and high responsibility towards the community, thus contributing to supporting the city's COVID-19 containment efforts.
All of the above-mentioned donations will be used for COVID-19 prevention and control in hospitals, medical quarantine sites, and blockaded areas, as well as support the purchase of biological products, medical supplies and vaccines against COVID-19.
Over 231,400 individuals and organisations have donated a total of nearly VND7,421 billion (US$324 million) to Viet Nam’s Covid-19 vaccine fund, data (as of 11:00am) on June 8 shows.
According to the fund’s management board, it has received donations worth VND4,168 billion (US$182 million) while the rest belongs to donors who have pledged but have yet to transfer to the fund.
Individuals and organisations can transfer their donations in Vietnamese dong, US dollar and euro to 15 accounts at the State Treasury and 4 banks, namely BIDV, Vietcombank, HDBank and Vietinbank.
