Da Nang rushes to do sampling overnight for COVID-19 tests at Tho Quang Fishing Wharf

Upon being informed of the fact that some Quang Ngai Province natives infected with COVID-19 operated at Da Nang-based Tho Quang fishing wharf and the Da Nang seafood wholesale market 5 days ago, the Son Tra District authorities have quickly taken measures to prevent the further spread of the virus at these sites and their surrounding areas.

On Monday evening, the Son Tra District leaders directly instructed the temporary blockade of the Tho Quang fishing wharf and the Da Nang seafood wholesale market.

As of 6:00a.m. on Tuesday, nasal swab samples had been collected for COVID-19 tests from a total of 859 traders, fishermen and others operating at these sites.

Also on Monday evening, the Son Tra District’s competent forces temporarily sealed off residential areas along the routes of Vung Thung 6 and Vung Thung 7 next to the Tho Quang fishing wharf. It was uncovered that some people from other pandemic-stricken localities had stayed at some motels on these routes.

A total of 181 guests staying at these motels and those residing nearby have also had their swab samples collected for COVID-19 tests.

Disinfectant sprays for the prevention of COVID-19 at the aforementioned hotspots have been completed.
