Da Nang to consider lifting ban on certain activities with some restrictions after 21 days without local virus case
The fuctional forces must tighten checks at entrance points to Da Nang, and enforce COVID-19 rules on all arrivals and returnees from areas affected by COVID-19 pandemic in a bid to effectively manage risks in the potential spread of the virus.

Da Nang People's Committee Vice Chairman Le Quang Nam made the remarks at an online meeting on Sunday with representatives of the municipal Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.
Da Nang on Sunday reported no new confirmed case of coronavirus in a 24-hour period, and the ciy has gone 19 days without local transmission, a milestone that has both been welcomed and brought warnings against complacency.
The total number of active cases in Da Nang remained at 158, all in managed isolation.
He also warned against complacency as COVID is still a threat to Da Nang and it has swept many Vietnamese localites.
“The district authorities and health officials must keep a close watch on close contacts of infected patients who have already completed their mandatory quarantine period, and recovered patients after discharge. The close monitoring of all these people is very importance to the city to prevent the spread of the virus as many people may record multiple negative results during quarantine before a positive one, and some may test positive for the virus after recovering. In addition, the functional forces must enforce regulations to impose strictest penalities for non-compliance with the 5K recommendations of the Vietnamese Ministry of Health. Special attention must be given to ensure strict enforcement of preventive and protective measures against the pandemic in businesses with a large number of employees," emphasised Vice Chairman Nam.
He also called for continued monitoring of steps taken for COVID-19 management.
Mr Nam demanded health officials to conduct COVID-19 testing for all arrivals and returnees from affected areas since May 20.
The city leader also said that the Da Nang government will consider lifting ban on certain activities with some restrictions after the city records 21 days without local virus case.
Doctor Ton That Thanh, Director of the said that second doses of COVID-19 will be given to staff of the Da Nang Lung Hospital from June 11, and others as planned from June 14.
