Da Nang to impose mandatory 21-day quarantine on arrivals from areas under tight restrictions at midday today

The Da Nang government on Thursday morning announced the city’s policy for the quarantine of people who have travelled to or returned from areas facing tightest coronavirus restrictions in line with Directive No. 15/CT- TTg issued by the Vietnamse Prime Minister .

The city’s latest supplements will come into force at midday today, June 3.

Those who have travelled to or returned from the above-mentioned areas must undergo a 21-day mandatory quarantine in designated facilities from the date of their leaving these places or the date of their last contact with infected patients.

They must have their swab samples taken for COVID-19 testing four times, on the first day following their arrival in quarantine sites, 7th, 14th and 20th days from the date of their leaving these areas or the date of their last contact with infected patients.

Officials will continue to enforce a 21-day quarantine order on arrivals and returnees from epidemic-hit areas. They are required to pay for quarantine and COVID-19 testing in the city.

Returnees from affected areas who are subject to self-isolating at home must show a paper or electronic copy of their negative test results within 72 hours of testing upon arrival in the city.

The Da Nang government is asking functional forces to enforce COVID-19 rules on returnees who are required to self –isolate at home, and impose strictest penalties for non-compliance with the city’s regulations.
