Good practice on new COVID-19 rules in beaches, drink and food establishments in Da Nang
We have observed that beach-goers have seen strictly following new guidance and and maintaining social distancing to ensure that everyone can enjoy the city's beaches safely in the new normal.
Security guards from the Management Board of the Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourist Beaches have been deployed to beaches along such streets as Vo Nguyen Giap, Hoang Sa, and Nguyen Tat Thanh to make sure that every beach-goer is sticking to the 5K recommendations of the Ministry of Health along with advice and guidance on infection prevention and control from the municipal government and health bodies.
The focus has been paid on creating notices and reminders directly on loudspeakers or display with two bilingual English - Vietnamese versions in an effort to provide new guidance for beach visitors about penaties for non-compliance with COVID-19 rules. In addition, staff of the Management Board of the Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourist Beaches use loudspeakers to send reminders to beach visitors to ask them leave the beaches at required times.
Swimming is permitted at beaches between 4.30 am and 7.30am, and between 4.30pm and 6.30pm.
Wearing a face covering and keeping a safe distance at beaches are to become mandatory in Da Nang from June 9.
Anyone failing to wear a face covering at beaches will be subject to a fine of VND 1 million - VND 3 million, the government has announced.
In addition, those who break social distancing rules will carry a fine of VND 10 million - VND 20 million VND.
Mr. Nguyen Vinh Nguyen , a resident in Thanh Binh Ward, Hai Chau District, who was present at the My Khe Beach in the afternoon of June 16 said: "Although the My Khe Beach is quite crowded, beach-goers were seen largely adhering to the COVID-19 prevention measures. I am hopeful the COVID-19 pandemic will end and the city will be back to normal soon.”
“Heed is paid to increasing patrols on beaches to require beach-goers to wear face masks, disinfect their hands, keep a safe distance from others, have their body temperature checked when entering the parking area in order to stay safe. Swimming is only allowed at swimming areas designated by lifelines, and showers at beaches remain closed to the public”, Mr. Pham Hong Van, Head of Beach Security Team under the Management Board of the Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourist Beaches said.
Besides, most of restaurants, eateries and coffee shops are reopening in the city at capacity limits, and are seen strictly following the recommended measures to control COVID-19.
