Latest COVID-19 exposure sites in Da Nang released

The Da Nang Steering Committee of COVID-19 Prevention and Control has released a list of locations visited by 6 new COVID-19 patients registered on Wednesday afternoon while they were infectious in specific time frames. The move aims to track those linked with the infected in a bid to prevent the further virus transmission in the community.

Of the 6 new COVID-19 patients, one resides in Cam Le District whilst the others hail from the Thanh Khe District-the city’s new coronavirus hotspot. One is an employee at the DaiWa Vietnam Co., Ltd., whilst another one works as a security guard the Da Nang post office at 138 Nguyen Luong Bang and takes a side hustle in collecting paper at a printing factory on internal route No.10, the Hoa Khanh Industrial Park.

All of the 6 people are of known infection source as they were identified as close contacts of previously- confirmed positive cases and already put under quarantine.

The places linked to the 6 COVID-19 patients are listed as follows:

Around June 11 or June 12: an eatery at 421 Le Duan (patient's restaurant number 12859), the Da Nang Family General Hospital

From June 10 to 16, the patient went to the squat market on Nguyen Huy Tuong Street, Hoa Minh Ward, Lien Chieu District, adjacent to Dam Van Le Street in Cam Le District

Around 3:30p.m. – 14:00p.m. on June 18, Hoa Khanh Market whose façade is on Au Co Street

From June 10 to 18, alley No. 407 Le Duan which is now put under lockdown 

From 4:00p.m. to 5:00p.m. on June 17, Trang pub on Co Nai 6 Street, Tan Nguyet grocery store on Hai Phong street near the  Vo Van Tan - Hai Phong intersection

Around 6:00 pm on June 17, Lien ‘che’ (sweet soup) shop Tam Giac (Triangle) market. Around 7:00p.m. on June 17, a gas station at the Nguyen Van Linh - Nguyen Tri Phuong intersection

On the morning of June 18, a sidewalk ‘bun’ (rice vermicelli) shop on Ly Thai To Street (near the alley leading to the Chieu Ung Pagoda, Mrs. Huong rice vermicelli shop at alley No. 54 Ly Thai To

The local authorities requested those who have been to the aforementioned sites to quickly contact their nearest medical facilities for assistance.
