Tightening up monitoring on every one arriving in Da Nang
In addition to tightening controls at all points of entry, the fuctional forces are knocking on doors in Da Nang to timely detect and handle anyone arriving in the city without passing COVID-19 checkpoints and completing the compulsory COVID health declaration. These are among the most effective measures to create an effective shield for preventing the risk of the virus being transmitted from new arrivals from other Vietnamese localities, especially areas affected by the COVID-19 outbreak.
Da Nang has gone 29 straight days without recording any local transmissions. This shows a positive signal that the pandemic situation has been controlled effectively in the city. However, it has brought warnings against complacency as COVID is still a threat to Da Nang amid the complex developments of the pandemic in the country.

Stepping up surveillance on everyone arriving from COVID-19 hit areas
Tightening controls at points of entry and calling on the public in the city to play their part in enhancing surveillance on every one arriving from affected areas are among key factors that contribute to Da Nang’s success in containning the threat of coronavirus variants spreading in the city.
Police officers are working closely with local forces to conduct a more thorough check of the residence across the city to detect any one arriving or returing from COVID-19 hit areas who fails to complete the compulsory COVID health declaration. In addition, they are going door to door to make sure that every one across Da Nang is adhering to advice and guidance on COVID-19 from the municipal government and health bodies to stay safe in the new normal.
Moreover, local authorities are encouraging residents to engage actively in timely detecting and reporting about illegal aliens to functional forces to handle these cases. The heed has been paid on urging the public across the city to uphold their responsibility to join their efforts with local authorities to enhance surveillance on new arrivals in order to reduce the risk of COVID-19.

The role and responsibility of involved persons in infection prevention and control activities
The police officer and the head in each residential area in Da Nang play an important role in preventing the spread of the virus. They must bear bear full responsibility for COVID-19 transmissions in their residential areas caused by new arrivals.
They are working together to beef up the capacity to make checks at residential settings in an attempt to make sure that each individual in the city is complying with the 5K recommendations of the Vietnamese Ministry of Health and taking protective measures against COVID-19 recommended by the municipal government and health bodies.
They are upholding the responsibility to introduce new guidance and rules on COVID-19 to every one in the city as well as to monitor new arrivals from high incidence area or area of variants of concern in order to enable timely, effective and appropriate responses to these cases.
