Additional 609 COVID-19 cases bring tally to 25,419
An additional 609 COVID-19 cases recorded from 6am to 12pm on July 9, including six imported ones, brought the national tally to 25,419, according to the Ministry of Health.

The latest cases included 479 infections in Ho Chi Minh City, the current largest hotspot of the country, and 66 and 17 in its neighbouring provinces of Binh Duong and Dong Nai, respectively.
There were nine cases in Bac Giang, eight in Tra Vinh, seven each in Bac Ninh and Quang Ngai, four in Ba Ria-Vung Tau, two in Ha Noi and one each in Vinh Phuc, Bac Lieu, Lam Dong and Thanh Hoa.
As of July 9 noon, Viet Nam reported 23,513 local cases and 1,906 imported ones. The number of COVID-19 cases since the fourth wave of outbreak hit the country since April 27 amounted to 21,943.
Of those who are still under treatment, 333 have tested negative for the coronavirus once, 203 twice and 80 thrice.
The country’s death toll has reached 105 while 8,950 patients have been given the all-clear.
