The vaccines have been already rolled out in three phases in Da Nang, Director Yen said.
“Across Da Nang, we have already vaccinated 117 people, who are medical workers at the Lung Hospital, in phase 1 of the COVID-19 vaccination programme, while 8,260 people received their shots in the next phase, and phase 3 made 24,711 people eligible to be vaccinated, of whom, 108 got their second doses and the remainders received their first shots” Mrs Yen remarked.
The priority groups for phase 3 of the COVID-19 vaccination programme are preschool and primary school teachers, frontline forces for COVID-19 prevention and control missions, Vietnamese foreign employees and diplomats, immigration officers, essential service providers, teachers and those working at educational institutions, agencies and administrative units often coming into contact with others and other at-risk subjects.
Mrs Yen said that the health agency is working closely with relevant units to prepare plans for a mass vaccination campaign for the city’s population when a large volume of vaccines arrives in Da Nang.
In the coming time, such sites as schools, agencies, cultural houses, Exhibition and Fair Centre will be used as vaccination sites during the upcoming mass vaccination campaign.
