Da Nang logs new COVID-19 case
Da Nang on Saturday (July 10) recorded one more positive COVID-19 case. The 47-year-old infected man resides in Hoa Xuan Ward, Cam Le District.
The man on July 3 started showing symptoms of fever, but he self-treated with drugs available at home and did not see the doctor nor visit the pharmacy for medicine.
At around 8:00am on July 10, the man went in –person to the Hoan My Da Nang Hospital after many days of fever. Upon his arrival to the hospital, the man was temporarily isolated and had hiss nasal swab samples taken for compulsory COVID-19 testing as prescribed.
His test result released on the same day turned positive for the virus, and his infection was then confirmed by another test conducted by the Da Nang Centre for Disease Control by the Realtime RT-PCR method.
The patient's wife also went to Hoan My Da Nang Hospital on July 10 for examination and testing, and she tested negative for the virus.
As for locations visited by the infected man, around 11:00 am on July 1, he attended a funeral at K20/H11/12 Hoang Hoa Tham, Tan Chinh Ward, Thanh Khe District. From 5:00pm – 7:00pm between June 28 to July 5, he played tennis at the Euro 2 Hoa Xuan tennis court.
Anyone who has been to the two locations visited by the infected man should immediately contact their local nearest medical facilities for what to do.
