Disinfectant spraying in Da Nang sites due to high COVID-19 exposure level

Staff members from the Centre for Chemical, Biological, Radioactive and Nuclear Incident Response in Central Viet Nam under the Chemical Corps, on Friday afternoon, conducted the spraying of disinfectant in blockaded areas in the wards of Thac Gian and An Khe in Thanh Khe District.

A total of 5 specialised vehicles and a total of 42 officers and soldiers from the Centre were assigned to carry out the disinfectant spraying as a preventive measure against the coronavirus.

In Thac Gian Ward, the functional forces carried out the spraying along Phan Thanh Street and neighbourhoods around the lakeshore of Thac Gian ward.

In An Khe Ward, officers and soldiers deployed the large-scale spraying inside and around the sealed off areas along Nguyen Phuoc Nguyen and Nguyen Thanh Nam streets.

In parallel, portable sprayers are used to disinfect houses, alleys, and shops here.

The  Chemical Defence Battalion No.78 under the High Command of Military Zone No. 5 also deployed special forces and vehicles to high-risk areas in Hoa Khanh Bac Ward in Lien Chieu District) and Hoa An Ward in Cam Le District for conducting the spraying.

A social distancing order is taking effect from 0am on July 17 until further notice in wards inThac Gian, and An Khe, both in Thanh Khe District, Hoa An in Cam Le District and Hoa Khanh Bac in Lien Chieu District as per request by the municipal administration.
