New COVID-19 cases in Da Nang, including one testing positive after 21-day quarantine, and their associated exposure sites

Da Nang registered a few more COVID-19 patients on Tuesday, July 13, and especially, one of whom is a petroleum engineer who tested positive for the deadly virus after 21-day mandatory in-hotel quarantine period.

The male engineer travelled from HCM City to Da Nang on June 13 for work at the PVD6 rig managed by the Viet Nam Oil and Gas Corporation, off the coast of Da Nang.

Upon his arrival in Da Nang, the man was put under a 21-day paid medical quarantine period in the Seven Sea Hotel at 150 Vo Nguyen Giap from June 13 to July 4. During his mandatory quarantine here, he tested negative for COVID-19 for four times, namely on June 14, 20, and 27, and July 3.

After the completion of his 21-day quarantine period, the man asked for permission to stay for an additional 7 days in the hotel, and then, he tested negative for the virus for the 5th test on July 11.

On July 12, the patient left the Seven Sea Hotel for the Petro Hotel at 7 Quang Trung, Hai Chau District for stay.

On July 13, the patient went to the Family Medical Clinic to have his nasal swab samples taken for COVID-19 testing before embarking upon his assigned professional work on July 14. His samples were transferred to the Thien Nhan Centre for High-tech Medical Diagnosis for testing.

Finally, he was found contracting COVID-19 via the application of the RT-PCR method, and this result was once confirmed by the Da Nang Centre for Disease Control via another RT-PCR test.

In particular, from 6:30pm - 8:00 pm on July 12 and from 8:40am - 8:45am on July 13, the man was at the 30 Shine hair salon at 345 Nguyen Van Linh for hair cuts.

From 8:00pm to 8:22pm on  the same day, he was present for meal at the A. Hai chicken rice on Thai Phien Street, Hai Chau District.

Another COVID-19 patient is the owner of the Thanh Huong hair salon at 278 Nguyen Phuoc Nguyen Street, Thanh Khe District.

From July 1 to 12, the female patient was present at her own hair salon.

From 6:30am to 7:00am on July 9 and 10, she went shopping at the Nguyen Phuoc Nguyen Market.

At around 8:00 am on July 13, she went to a bakery opposite 278 Nguyen Phuoc Nguyen.

The local authorities requested those who have been to any of the aforementioned sites during the relevant timeframes to quickly contact the nearest medical facilities for assistance.
