108,100 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine to be administered to Da Nang people
A batch of 108,100 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine from the Ministry of Health will arrive in Da Nang Tuesday evening for the deployment of inoculation drives for local residents, Dr. Ton That Thanh, the Director of the Da Nang Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), said.

The administration of the above-mentioned COVID-19 vaccine doses will be conducted in three phases, of which the first one is expected to take place from September 1 - 5 for about 32,200 residents.
The eligible people for the injection will include forces participating in COVID-19 prevention and control in communes/ wards, districts and all-level steering boards; employees at enterprises based in industrial parks and industrial clusters; workers at key construction sites, with the priority given to whose who are still currently at work; the providers of essential services, including transport activities, with priority given to cargo vehicle drivers and their on-board assistants, especially those in blockaded areas; taxi drivers supporting medical work; pharmacists working at local pharmacies and drugstores; dignitaries belonging to various religions; teachers, lecturers, staffers working at schools under the management of the municipal departments, the district-level People's Committees and member schools of the University of Da Nang.
The health agency has mapped 5 locations in Da Nang which will deliver the COVID-19 vaccination, namely the Thanh Khe District Cultural and Sports Centre, the Da Nang International Exhibition and Convention Centre, the Students’ Dormitory to the west of the city, Lien Chieu District Industrial Park and the Son Tra District Sports and Cultural Centre.
In addition, depending on the actual situation, one more point will be opened in the Da Nang Industrial Park based in Son Tra District for the vaccination for employees working for enterprises here.
By August 30, Da Nang had received 213,020 doses of COVID-19 vaccine, of which 187,993 doses were administered. In detail, the numbers of people receiving the first and second vaccine jabs reached 151, 039 and 36,954 respectively.
