347 recovered COVID-19 patients discharged in Da Nang since Aug. 25
Additional 55 hospitalized COVID-19 patients were discharged from the field hospital, Hoa Vang District Medical Center, and the Lung Hospital on Sunday, August 29, bringing the total number of recovered people to 347 since August 25, municipal Department of Health Director Ngo Thi Kim Yen has confirmed.
After the patients completed three successive tests and the results came negative, doctors have declared them cured and so they are now discharged from the hospitals.
They are no longer contagious and pose no risk to the public, the doctors said.
After discharges, the recoveries must complete 14 days isolation at home, and undergo COVID-19 testing in line with the Ministry of Health’s regulations.
Three patients died of COVID-19 complications on August 29, bringing the total death toll in Da Nang to 30 since the beginning of 2021.
Currently, 1,712 infected patients are being treated at the field hospital, 315 patients are under treatment at the Hoa Vang District Medical Centre, and 90 others are receiving treatment at the Lung Hospital.
Overall, 2,117 people, including 68 requiring critical care, are being treated for the coronavirus in Da Nang’s hospitals, of whom, 195 tested negative for the virus once while tests on 41 others came back negative twice.
