6 stall holders and related employees at Hoa Cuong Wholesale Market infected with COVID-19

On Thursday, the Da Nang Department of Health issued an urgent notice saying that 6 stall holders and related others at Hai Chau District-based Hoa Cuong Wholesale Market, the largest of its kind in the city.

As per request of the health agency, anyone who has been to this market for shopping from August 5 up to now urgently contact or immediately go in-person to their nearest medical facilities for advice and requirements. If showing such suspicious symptoms as fever, cough, difficulty breathing, sore throat, loss of taste and fatigue, they must avoid coming into contact with others immediately, including family members, and get tested for COVID-19 as soon as possible.

The market is closing from 7:00 am on Thursday on until further notice.

It is known that the market houses more than 1,100 wholesale and retail stall holders offering all kinds of fruit and vegetables, and diversified foodstuff.  On average, this shopping site supplies more than 300 tonnes of fruit and vegetables, and foodstuff to the city-dwellers.
