Additional 85 patients in Da Nang given coronavirus all-clear
Doctor Ngo Thi Kim Yen, the Director of the Da Nang Department of Health has announced that 85 more COVID-19 patients, who were being treated at the field hospital, the Lung Hospital, and Hoa Vang District Medical Centre were discharged on Wednesday, August 25, after their reports tested negative thrice.
All patients’ clinical status is appropriate for discharge, and assessed to have stable and recovering respiratory function.
All 85 people were given the all-clear following three negative tests for the virus, 24 hours apart, making a full recovery following their treatment. They are no longer contagious and pose no risk to the public.
The hospital used special vehicles to bring the recoveries home. After discharge, the recoveries will undergo a-14 day self- isolation at home and COVID-19 testing under close monitoring of local authorities and health workers at their places of residence in line with the Ministry of Health’s regulations.
Currently, 1,464 infected patients are being treated at the field hospital, 285 patients are under treatment at the Hoa Vang District Medical Centre, and 86 others are receiving treatment at the Lung Hospital.
Overall, 1,835 people, including 49 requiring critical care, are being treated for the coronavirus in Da Nang’s hospitals, of whom, 175 tested negative for the virus once while tests on 77 others came back negative twice.
