Da Nang launches helplines in support for ex-pats amid the city's stay-at-home mandate
The Da Nang People's Committee has just asked the municipal Department of Foreign Affairs to urgently set up helplines, including 5 mobile phone numbers and email addresses, which are in charge of handling any troubles and difficulties facing foreigners amid COVID-19 crisis.
In addition, the Department of Foreign Affairs shall assume the prime responsibility for coordinating with the Department of Industry and Trade and other relevant local units to help foreigners overcome their difficulties amid the city's stay-at-home mandate.
In particular, the functional forces must pay special heed to helping foreigners access food and necessities in a timely manner.
Any matters which go beyond their competence must be reported to the municipal People's Committee for official guidance and handling.
Helplines in English are now available to foreigners residing in certain districts.
