Over the past 4 days, fines of over 316 million VND have been imposed on 168 people for breach of coronavirus regulations. Of them, 19 were found not wearing a face mask, 4 were caught violating social distancing rules, 123 went out on the streets for non-essential activity, 16 failed to comply with the guidelines for the prevention and control of infection from the municipal government, and the remaining 8 were found breaking public health controls in the new restrictions.

In addition, police have dealt with 3 persons who assaulted law enforcement officers while they were performing their duties, and these offenders will face toughest punishment. Moreover, officers have handled 2 cases for using improper travel permits.

Major General Vu Xuan Vien, the Director of the Da Nang Police Department, stressed the need to enforce the regulations to have strictest penalties for COVID-19 rule violators, especially those who assault law enforcement officers while they are on duty in a bid to ensure deterrence against violations of COVID-19 rules.

“Da Nang is considering issuing travel permits for close to 1,000 shippers of food and essential items from local suppliers. However, they must comply with the health and safety requirements as well as must use proper personal protective equipment to protect themselves and others," said Major General Vu Xuan Vien.

At 7:30pm on August 19, seven men, aged 31, 38, 39, 40, 42, 48 and 69 were caught gathering for drinking beer in the front of the house at 536/H05/8 on Dien Bien Phu Street in Thanh Khe District. All of them were invited into the Thanh Khe Dong Ward Police Station for an interview, and they admitted their wrongdoing. They will carry a fine of VND 105 million for breaking the social distancing rules.
