Da Nang's COVID-19 vaccine rollout implemented in safe and effective practices

Doctor Ngo Thi Kim Yen, the Director of the Da Nang Department of Health has said that as of August 20, Da Nang is expected to receive a combined total of 213,210 doses of COVID-19 vaccines according to the Ministry of Health’s plan. However, 142,730 vaccine doses have so far distributed in Da Nang, and the remainder will be delivered to the city in the coming times.

By the end of August 20, 111,473 people (except for police and military personnel) across Da Nang had been vaccinated or 78.10% of the city’s target set by the health agency.

By August 23, a total of 142,730 vaccine doses will be administered in Da Nang or 100% of the city’s target set by the health agency on August 19.

Under Da Nang’s vaccination programme in the 2021-2022 period, the rollout of vaccination against SARS-CoV-2 has been deployed in a fastest manner with daily vaccine administration capacity reaching 20,000 people a day and 35,000 people a day at maximum figure. A total of 100-110 vaccination locations have been set up across the city in addition 2 sites at the Da Nang General Hospital.

Director Yen said that the city’s COVID-19 vaccine rollout is being implemented in safe and effective practices.
