More COVID-19 checkpoints set up in Son Tra District to enforce rules

More COVID-19 checkpoints on Monday were formed in Son Tra District to enhance enforcement of coronavirus restrictions and take action against anyone who are found in breach of social distancing measures following the Da Nang Police Department’s latest instructions.

Son Tra District Police are implementing stronger enforcement of the city’s coronavirus restrictions across their local area, especially in the 5 local lockdown wards. The focus will be on taking further enforcement action in respect of any breach of COVID-19 rules and tightening monitoring of road users to make sure that they are using proper travel permits and their papers will be revoked if they are issued incorrectly.

The heed will be paid on enhance surveillance of people in local lockdown areas and other parts of the district to make sure that they are sticking to advice and guidance from the municipal government to protect themselves and others from COVID-19 or face hash penalties for non-adherence.

Besides, Son Tra District Police will take stronger action to stop people entering and leaving local lockdown areas.

All these tougher measures are designed to prevent further spread of the very contagious Delta variant and to protect public health in the worst-hit district in Da Nang.
