Nearly 200 health workers from Central Viet Nam deployed to hospitals in HCMC and Binh Duong

Fourty-five doctors, 114 nurses and 22 medical technicians from hospitals and medical centres across Central Viet Nam at noon on Friday, August 27, flew from Da Nang to Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) to support southern localities in the fight against COVID-19.

Fourty-nine workers from Da Nang-based C Hospital will work at the field hospital for COVID-19 patients in Binh Duong Province while 51 others from Hue Central will work in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Center in HCMC.

Seventeen workers from Da Nang-based Police Hospital 199 under the Ministry of Public Security are being dispatched to the field hospital for COVID-19 in Nha Be District, HCMC.

Sixty-four workers from medical facilities in Quang Nam and Quang Ngai provinces are being deployed to hospitals in ​​Go Vap and Binh Chanh districts in HCMC.

The deployment of nearly 200 medical personnel from Central Viet Nam is carried out to help hospitals care for the increasing number of COVID-19 patients in HCMC and Binh Duong Provinces. In addition, they are being dispatched to the two southern localities to help with collecting swab samples for COVID-19 testing and administering vaccines in efforts to help reduce the workload burden for their colleagues in the two hard-hit localities of Viet Nam.
