110 more patients in Da Nang discharged to home following COVID-19 recovery
110 more people were released from the field hospital in the west of the city, the Da Nang Lung Hospital and the Hoa Vang District Medical Centre on Monday, September 6, after being treated for COVID-19.
With this, the number of patients that have been discharged from Da Nang hospitals after recovering from coronavirus has hit 1,288 since August 25.
All of them were given the all-clear following thrice consecutive negative test results, and they show overall stable status, vital signs, normal organ function and improved chest X-ray readings.
After discharges, the recoveries must complete 14 days isolation at home, and undergo COVID-19 testing in line with the Ministry of Health’s regulations.
Two patients died of COVID-19 complications on September 6, bringing the total death toll in Da Nang to 45 since the beginning of 2021.
Currently, 1,598 infected patients are being treated at the field hospital, 129 patients are under treatment at the Hoa Vang District Medical Centre, and 82 others are receiving treatment at the Lung Hospital.
Overall, 1,809, including 69 requiring critical care, are being treated for the coronavirus in Da Nang’s hospitals, of whom, 175 tested negative for the virus once while tests on 101 others came back negative twice.
At present, there are 1,349 people who are being placed under quarantine in 36 designated facilities across the city. A total of 231 locations across Da Nang have been classified as red zones.
A total of 17 wards and communes across Da Nang have marked 14 days without any community transmission and have been classified as green zones. They are An Hai Bac, An Hai Tay, Man Thai, Phuoc My, Nai Hien Dong, Tho Quang wards in Son Tra District, Hoa Quy Ward in Ngu Hanh Son District, Nam Duong, Phuoc Ninh, Hai Chau 1 wards in Hai Chau District, Hoa Bac, Hoa Khuong, Hoa Tien, Hoa Phu, Hoa Lien, Hoa Nhon, Hoa Phong communes in Hoa Vang District.
7,803 doses of COVID-19 vaccines on September 6 were administered in Da Nang, bringing the total number of doses administered citywide till date to 253,441, of which, 197,530 people received the first dose while 55,911 others got their second shot.
