1,674 people in Da Nang recover from COVID-19 since Aug. 25
Additional 95 hospitalized COVID-19 patients were discharged from the field hospital at the Student Hall of Residence in the west of the city, Hoa Vang District Medical Center, and the Lung Hospital on Thursday, September 9, bringing the total number of recovered people to 1,674 since August 25, the Da Nang Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control has confirmed.
After the patients completed three successive tests and the results came negative for COVID-19, doctors have declared them cured and so they are now discharged from the hospitals.
After discharges, the recoveries must complete 14 days isolation at home, and undergo COVID-19 testing in line with the Ministry of Health’s regulations.
Currently, 1,349 infected patients are being treated at the field hospital, 104 patients are under treatment at the Hoa Vang District Medical Centre, and 71 others are receiving treatment at the Lung Hospital.
Overall, 1,524 people, including 60 requiring critical care, are being treated for the coronavirus in Da Nang’s hospitals, of whom, 236 tested negative for the virus once while tests on 92 others came back negative twice.
At present, there are 1,131 people who are being placed under quarantine in 35 designated facilities across the city. A total of 94 locations across Da Nang have been classified as red zones, and these high-risk areas are being placed under full lockdown.
A total of 18 wards and communes across Da Nang have marked 14 days without any community transmission and have been classified as green zones. They are An Hai Bac, An Hai Tay, Man Thai, Phuoc My, Nai Hien Dong, Tho Quang wards in Son Tra District, Hoa Quy Ward in Ngu Hanh Son District, Nam Duong, Phuoc Ninh, Hai Chau 1 wards in Hai Chau District, Hoa Khe Ward in Thanh Khe District, Hoa Bac, Hoa Khuong, Hoa Tien, Hoa Phu, Hoa Lien, Hoa Nhon, Hoa Phong communes in Hoa Vang District.
