3 new cases in managed isolation in Da Nang on Sept. 23, none in the community
Da Nang recorded only 3 COVID-19 cases on September 23, all of which were found in the city’s designated quarantine facilities. Notably, no new community transmission case was recorded on the same day, the municipal Steering Board for COVID-19 Prevention and Control announced in its latest bulletin.
The aforementioned 3 cases found in managed isolation were related to a coronavirus infected dweller in alley K85 on Han Mac Tu Street, who was an employee of the Nam Anh company located in the Son Tra District-based An Don Industrial Park. For the time being, this chain of infection is t a high risk of further coronavirus transmission with 13 positive cases recorded till date.
During the same day, 18,200 people had their nasal swab samples taken for COVID-19 testing, of whom 3,074 were subject to rapid antigen tests whilst entering the city through the city’s gateway checkpoints.
With regard to vaccination against COVID-19, up to now, Da Nang has received 684,356 doses of COVID-19 vaccinse from the Vietnamese Ministry of Health, of which 665,547 were administered. In detail, 584,894 people have received the first dose whilst 80,653 others have got the second shot. T
So far, 21 blockaded zones have been set up due to their links to COVID-19 cases, housing a total of 4,221 local residents.
Till date, 39 out of the total 56 communes and wards citywide have been labelled as ‘green zones’ where neither community-acquired cases nor locked-down sites have been logged over the past 14 days.
They are the communes of Hoa Bac, Hoa Khuong, Hoa Tien, Hoa Phu, Hoa Lien, Hoa Nhon, Hoa Phong, Hoa Phuoc, Hoa Ninh and Hoa Chau in Hoa Vang District; the wards of An Hai Bac, Man Thai, An Hai Tay, Phuoc My, Nai Hien Dong, Tho Quang, and An Hai Dong in Son Tra District; the wards of Hoa Quy, Hoa Hai, My An and Khue My in Ngu Hanh Son District; the wards of Phuoc Ninh, Nam Duong, Hai Chau 1, Hoa Cuong Nam, Binh Hien, Binh Thuan, Hoa Thuan Dong, and Hoa Thuan Tay in Hai Chau District; the wards of Hoa Khe, Thanh Khe Dong, Thac Gian, Chinh Gian, Xuan Ha and An Khe in Thanh Khe District; the wards of Khue Trung, Hoa Tho Tay, Hoa Phat and Hoa Tho Dong in Cam Le District.
Since July 10, Da Nang’s COVID-19 infection tally has climbed to 4,637.
