Tien is found guilty after police officers have collected evidence to prove that she is charged with engaged in facilitating a South Korean national to illegally enter Viet Nam under the guise of a foreign expert.

In early 2021, Tien colluded with Lee Kwan Young, 53, the Vice Chairman of the South Korea Association in Central Viet Nam, and Seo Young Jin, 48, the Director of the Han In Hue Co., Ltd, to take advantage of her registered business name to assist a South Korean national named You Woon Yong to illegally enter Viet Nam under the guise of a foreign expert to make profits from using illegal tactics. She received a commission worth US$ 400 from members of an organised crime that assisted many illegal foreign entries into Viet Nam under the guise of foreign experts.

Tien’s home at Hoang Anh Gia Lai Lake View apartment building, and headquarters of her two companies at An Nhon 2 Street in Son Tra District, and Hoang Van Thu Street in Hai Chau District, were searched by the Police Investigation Agency under the Da Nang Police Department after she had been detained by officers.

The investigation is still underway.

Earlier on July 9, Lee Kwan Young, Seo Young Jin, and and Song Hong Sub, 49, the owner of the Khan Vina Brokerage Company, were arrested and accused of a criminal offence after assisting many illegal South Korean entries from Incheon International Airport into Viet Nam via Da Nang International Airport.

The three South Korean nationals used to live and work in Da Nang. Song Hong Sub used online advertising to find their fellow countrypersons who want to apply for a visa to come to Viet Nam. He then colluded with Seo Young Jin and Lee Kwan Youg to take advantage of such registered business names of Kuvarose, The Es, and Phúc Travel Newlife to sponsor them to assist many South Korean nationals to illegally enter Viet Nam under the guise of foreign experts.
