The displaced residents will temporarily stay at the Be Van Dan Primary School located in Hoa Khe Ward, Thanh Khe District to avoid contracting the virus in such small alleys.
On September 3, Tam Thuan Ward recorded the highest infection count amongst the city’s total 56 wards and communes with 39 new cases.
According to Mr. Hung, many small alleys ward-wide are densely populated, and the space is tight and humid. So many residents have failed to abide by the COVID-19 safety precautions as mandated, which has resulted in a very high risk of cross-infection.
Depending on the actual situation of the virus resurgence, the district authorities are expected to continue to move residents out of narrow alleys in the coming days.
In reality, some alleys which are so much narrow. If residents of two separate houses talking at the doorsteps to each other without wearing face masks may increase the risk of transmissions because the safe distance as requested is not guaranteed.
