COVID testing for all people in a Da Nang apartment building after 4 family members test positive

Authorities in Cam Le District urgently sealed off the CT02 Apartment Building in Hoa Tho Dong Ward in the evening of September 6 to take swab samples of all people living in this venue to test for COVID-19.

The move came after 4 members of a family in this building had tested positive for coronavirus.

On the afternoon of September 6, a 31 year- old woman living in a flat No. 203 on the second floor of the CT02 Apartment Building who developed symptoms of COVID-19, went to the Cam Le District Medical Centre for examination. She then tested positive for the virus at the medical facility.

The healthcare workers immediately took nasal swab of the remaining 3 members of the infected woman’s family, and tests on them came back positive for the virus.

In the night of September 6, 82 families with 270 members living in this building got tested for coronavirus.

Cam Le District People's Committee Chairman Ho Van Khoa said that this building has been sealed, and all residents in this venue has been evacuated to a local school in a bid to keep them safe and prevent the further spread of the virus.

Authorities in Cam Le District on August 31 placed an apartment building on Van Tien Dung Street in Hoa Xuan Ward under full lockdown after 17 active cases of COVID-19 had been detected in this venue.
