Many timely supportive policies for local resident

According to a report released by the municipal People's Committee, as of September 8, 272,000 locals had been vaccinated with COVID-19, of whom more than 56,000 received the second dose. 80.1% of the total vaccine doses allocated to Da Nang by the Vietnamese Ministry of Health had been administered.

A total of VND8.7 billion from the municipal budget has been spent on supporting COVID-19 prevention and control forces, covering the costs of medical isolation examination and treatment of COVID-19 and implementing some specific regimes in the first half of this year. It is expected that an additional VND33 billion will be disbursed.

In terms of funding vaccination drives citywide, VND 36.3 billion will be used.

Regarding supportive policies for those financially affected by the current coronavirus wave according to regulations, more than VND103.3 billion from the municipal budget has been spent.

Also, more than VND111 billion worth of cash and essential goods has been given out to more than 200,000 households across the city.

In particular, in the coming time, heed should be paid to administering the second dose for 100% of the local teachers and educational staffers.

Besides, favourable conditions should be created for businesses to access the city's policies to get through their difficulties and bounce back once the COVID-19 wave is put under control.

Accelerating the progress of key projects

Chairman Triet asked functional local agencies to speed up the progress of such key traffic projects as the Tuyen Son - Tuy Loan riverside road, the western ring road, the DT 601 and DH2 routes and resettlement facilities for families displaced by these projects.

Importance must be attached to taking more drastic measures to keep the key projects on track.

As per request by the municipal administration, projects’s investor and contractors must organise COVID-19 testing for all employees before assigning them to the construction sites under the so-called ‘3- on- the- spot” (on-site production, on-site dining, on-site rest) approach .
