Da Nang logs 80 new COVID-19 recoveries

The Da Nang Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control on Friday, September 17, recorded an additional 80 recoveries from the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

In its latest case bulletin, the Committee said this pushed the recovery tally to 2,185 since August 25.

Two patients died of COVID-19 complications on September 17, bringing the total death toll in Da Nang to 61 since the beginning of 2021.

Currently, 916 infected patients are being treated at the field hospital, 43 patients are under treatment at the Hoa Vang District Medical Centre, and 57 others are receiving treatment at the Lung Hospital.

Overall, 1,016 people, including 45 requiring critical care, are being treated for the coronavirus in Da Nang’s hospitals, of whom, 185 tested negative for the virus once while tests on 88 others came back negative twice.

At present, there are 837 people who are being placed under quarantine in 30 designated facilities across the city. A total of 57 locations across Da Nang have been classified as red zones.

Tracers on September 17 tracked down 25 primary close contacts, and 47 secondary close contacts, as well as found 27 returnees from COVID-19 affected areas.

A total of 38 locations across Da Nang have been classified as red zones. 4,124 families with 14,973 people are being placed under full lockdown.

The health agency on September 17 conducted mass testing for 78,320 people across Da Nang, of whom, 77,004 got PCR tests for COVID-19 while the remainder underwent rapid antigen testing.

To date, a total of 543,956 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been distributed in Da Nang. So far, 454,350 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in Da Nang, of which, 380,050 people received the first dose while 74,300 others got their second shot.
