Doctor Nguyen Tien Hong, the Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Health, on Friday morning said that Da Nang is administering the COVID-19 vaccine to foreigners as part of the city’s mass vaccination program.

The healthcare workers are carrying out the vaccination at 8 designated sites from September 24 - 27, during which, a total of 3,390 foreign nationals who are staying in Da Nang will receive first dose of Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine. The beneficiaries are 422 expats in Hai Chau District, 104 in Thanh Khe, 1,011 in Son Tra District, 1,542 in Ngu Hanh Son District, 197 in Lien Chieu District, 80 in Cam Le District, and 34 in Hoa Vang District.

In addition, the city will give the COVID vaccine to 2,000 stallholders and staff members in major traditional markets, 1,215 employees in government agencies and businesses, along with 44,000 staff members in district-level people's committees.

To date, a total of 713,706 doses of COVID-19 vaccines had been distributed in Da Nang. So far, 685,547 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in Da Nang, of which, 604,894 people or 73.1% of the city’s adult population, received the first dose while 80,653 others got their second shot.
