There are one new case of COVID-19 in the community today, September 26, and seven cases in managed isolation, the Da Nang Steering Board for COVID-19 Prevention and Control said in its latest bulletin.

Specifically, of the 8 cases, 6 were the primary coronavirus contacts found during their managed quarantine hat home, whilst another one was found in blockaded neighbourhood on Dong Da Street Thuan Phuoc Ward, Hai Chau District) and the remaining one was found in the community via the ongoing ‘one door- one test’ campaign with testing applied to household representatives on Hoang Dieu Street, Binh Thuan Ward, Hai Chau District. This community transmission patient had previously tested negative for the virus, namely on September 10 and 15.

As calculated, of the 8 new coronavirus patients recorded today, 4 were residents living in alley No. 86 Dong Da and the remaining 4 were residing in alley No. 368 Hoang Dieu.

During the same day, 73,958 people had their nasal swab samples taken for COVID-19 testing, of whom 72,580 tested for the virus via the RT-PCR technique whilst the rest were subject to rapid antigen tests whilst entering the city through the city’s gateway checkpoints.

For the time being, there are 12 blockaded areas previously linked to COVID-19, housing 572 households with a combined total of 1,968 people.

Till date, 47 out of the total 56 communes and wards citywide have been labelled as ‘green zones’ where neither community-acquired cases nor locked-down sites have been logged over the past 14 days as follow:

Hoa Vang District: the wards of Hoa Bac, Hoa Khuong, Hoa Tien, Hoa Phu, Hoa Lien, Hoa Nhon, Hoa Phong, Hoa Phuoc, Hoa Ninh and Hoa Chau 

Son Tra District: the wards of An Hai Bac, Man Thai, An Hai Tay, Phuoc My, Nai Hien Dong, Tho Quang, and An Hai Dong

Ngu Hanh Son District: the wards of Hoa Quy, Hoa Hai, My An and Khue My.

Hai Chau District: the wards of Phuoc Ninh, Nam Duong, Hai Chau 1, Hoa Cuong Nam, Binh Hien, Hoa Thuan Dong, Hoa Thuan Tay, Hoa Cuong Bac and Thach Thang

Thanh Khe District : the wards of Hoa Khe, Thanh Khe Dong, Thac Gian, Chinh Gian, Xuan Ha, An Khe, Thanh Khe Tay, Tan Chinh, Vinh Trung, Tam Thuan.

Cam Le District : the wards of Khue Trung, Hoa Tho Tay, Hoa Phat, Hoa Tho Dong and Hoa Xuan

Lien Chieu District : the wards of Hoa Minh and Hoa Hiep Nam.
